These activities support the implementation of NRI’s Strategic Plan through research networking and cooperation, capacity development, and multidisciplinary research on Development Priorities. In addition, NRI Cross Cutting Programs address issues not covered in the scope of other NRI activities, but which directly affect the implementation of Papua New Guinea’s Development Priorities. The priority activities in 2007 are: Research Cadet Scheme Research Associate and Visiting Fellow Program Research Methods Seminar Series Research Networking and Cooperation Briefing and Influencing Key Policy Decision Makers Public Sector Seminar Series Brokering new policy-relevant research HIV/AIDS and socioeconomic development – scoping NRI’s future role in HIV research National Land Development Program Advisory Group – Secretariat For more information on these activities in 2007, click here to view the Cross Cutting Programs 2007 Work Plan The National Land Development Program activity follows on from previous NRI work for the PNG Government in this area.
