The National Land Development Advisory Group (NLDAG) is an integral component of the National Land Development Program (NLDP). It has a mission to provide independent advice to the Government and related stakeholders on land development matters including those relating directly to the NLDP.

The Land Advisory Group reports on issues of strategic significance on land reform to the Ministerial Committee, working through the Land Development Program Management Committee.

The NRI provides accommodation and support for the NLDAG Secretariat.

The objective is to ensure that the best professional advice and guidance is provided to assist the Government and related stakeholders in the course of implementing the recommendations of the National Land Development Taskforce (NLDT). Such advice may be in the form of:

• alternative policy options and directions, aimed at strengthening the NLDP;
• support on basis of evaluation outcomes, principally to strengthen implementation and improve overall quality and integrity of the NLDP, and
• build public confidence and strengthen the integrity of the land reform program as a user-friendly system that enhances transparency, good governance and is free from corruption.

The NLDAG is comprised of national academic institutions, the private sector and key civil society groups. The current NLDAG members are:
