The People Pillar houses two research programs and they are Universal Basic Education Program and HIV and Public Health Program.
Universal Basic Education Research Program
This program is focused on the challenge of Universalising Basic Education (UBE) in Papua New Guinea, in order to provide a relevant, quality, affordable and sustainable education system.
INAUGURAL NATIONAL UNIVERSAL BASIC EDUCATION CONFERENCE
The Universal Basic Education Research Program is pleased to announce the hosting of the Inaugural Universal Basic Education Conference from the 12-14 July 2011 at the National Research Institute Conference Centre, in Port Moresby.

HIV Behavioural Surveillance Project and Public Health Research Program
The HIV Behavioral Surveillance Research Project is supported by the National Department of Health as part of National Surveillance under the National Health Plan. The project aims to increase the collection, analysis and dissemination of HIV behavioural and health related research, identify factors that contribute to the HIV epidemic, and to poor health indicators in both the rural and urban areas of PNG.
The research program also hosts the Behavioural Surveillance Survey (BSS) Unit. |
